Westward School

Football U8 vs Claremont

Despite the final score going in Claremont's favour, Year 3 showed character, spirit, resilience and the ability to learn on the job. They reacted well to all the different scenarios thrown at them throughout the game.

The essence of the Westward spirit was evident to see in an amazing save by Tristan in the first two minutes. In a tense second half the team came close to scoring on two separate occasions, with the ball brushing the post.

Oliver was crowned player of the match after a truly inspiring defensive performance.

Thank you also to the hordes of travelling fans who very much got into the spirit of things!

We look forward to the next fixture.
